Tim is one of the UK’s foremost tenor saxophone players. He was recently nominated in the contemporary jazz section of the British Composer Awards for his most recent work: Colour Beginnings.

Tim composed the Colour Beginnings suite during his year as the first ever musician to work as Artist in Residence at The Tate in 2009.

The suite is inspired by the dramatic, edgy and spontaneous sketchbooks by the JMW Turner.

Tim is currently touring with his Personal Standards Quartet and is taking Colour Beginnings to major festivals and venues across the UK including the Purcell Rooms in July with special guest Kenny Wheeler.

Colour Beginnings the album is available to buy on iTunes, Amazon and jazzcds.com.

So far, coverage on Colour Beginnings has appeared in the Guardian, Sunday Times, Jazzwise Magazine, Jazz UK, and in countless regional titles. He has also been interviewed for Radio 3 and Jazz FM.
